Factions of Veridion: The Forces Behind the Fracture

Factions of Veridion: The Forces Behind the Fracture

The Fracture didn't just split timelines. It split people.

When Veridion shattered into overlapping realities, the inhabitants didn't dissolve into chaos — they organized. Around aesthetics. Around ideologies. Around the question that defines every faction in the multiverse: which version of the future are you building?

At artificial.black, every collection is a faction. Every drop is a dispatch from one of them. Here's who's out there.

The Architects

The first faction to emerge after the Fracture. The Architects believe the multiverse isn't broken — it's under construction. They build. They engineer. They treat reality as material.

Their aesthetic is technical and precise: clean lines, functional hardware, performance fabrics that look like they were issued by a system that knows what's coming. This is the world of Artificial Athletics — gear designed for a timeline where sport and survival are the same discipline. If you see someone moving through the city in a technical hoodie with a silhouette that looks half-athletic, half-military, they're with the Architects.

The Archivists

The Archivists are the counter-force. Where the Architects build forward, the Archivists build backward — or sideways, into timelines that never happened. They collect artifacts from realities that don't exist and present them as if they always did. Nostalgia, weaponized.

This is the territory of the Olde Tyme Gift Shoppe — ironic, curated, and deeply aware that the best way to subvert the future is to refuse to take it seriously. An Archivist doesn't wear techwear. They wear a graphic tee that references a brand from a timeline that was abandoned in beta.

The Signal

The Signal is the underground. The hackers, the runners, the people who live between factions and move information across timelines. They don't have a uniform — they have a frequency. Their aesthetic is mixed, layered, and deliberately hard to read. A piece from the Architects worn with something from the Archivists, plus something that doesn't belong to any faction at all.

The Signal is where the core artificial.black line lives. It's the aesthetic of people who don't pledge allegiance to a single faction — because their allegiance is to the multiverse itself.

The Next Generation

The kids born after the Fracture don't choose factions. They inherit them — and then they remix them. A twelve-year-old on the transit grid might wear an Artificial Athletics hoodie over a KrunkFacedKidZ graphic, carrying a signal they don't even know they're broadcasting.

While the KrunkFacedKidZ are one of the acts in the Multiversal Music lineup, the styles are bold and colorful sharing many similarities with our actual line of clothing designed for artificial replicants, micro clones, pocket persons and the traditional biolically manifested human children.  It's a faction that is not yet fully decided or even aware that they are part of any timeline, but the still get to enjoy the wearable artifacts that resonate with whatever vibe their clock tick tocks to.

Why Factions Matter

Factions aren't a marketing framework. They're a design logic. When you buy a piece from artificial.black, you're not just buying a garment — you're choosing a side. Or refusing to. Either way, what you wear says something about which version of the future you're betting on.

The multiverse is watching. Dress accordingly.
